Slope safety measures for addressing the increasing landslide risk due to climate change

The Government has been continuously improving the Hong Kong Slope Safety System and formulated strategies to prepare for the threat of extreme rainfall brought about by climate change, which covers three aspects via prevention, preparedness and education. Key measures include: strengthening slopes against extreme rainfall to prevent landslides, enhancing emergency preparedness and response to cope with severe landslide events, and improving the community resilience against landslide risk
